Paper and Packaging Board Announces New Board Members for 2018
McLean, VA, February 5, 2018 – The Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB) announces officers and the appointment by USDA of four board members nominated and elected by companies supporting the Paper Checkoff. Officers for 2018 are Steve Voorhees (WestRock), Chairman; Jennifer L. Miller (Sappi North America), Vice-Chairman; and Mike Doss (Graphic Packaging International, Inc.), Secretary/Treasurer.
The four elected members, duly appointed by the Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, take office immediately. Representing the South Region is Matt Kaplan of Kapstone Paper and Packaging; representing the Northeast Region is Jennifer L. Miller of Sappi North America; representing the Midwest Region is Palace V. Stepps of Sonoco Products Company and representing Importers is John D. Williams of Domtar. Each appointee will serve a three-year term that ends December 31, 2020.
A 12-member board of directors oversees the paper and packaging sector’s national promotion program formed to increase the demand for paper and paper-based packaging products.
